"DeLuzNews We All Can Use"

My wife and I live in Yorba Linda and have been considering relocating to DeLuz.  She initially expressed concern about being "torn" from what has been her life with me assuring her there would be much to do in DL.  We visited twice again this weekend but after driving through the area, I'm now having second thoughts.

I am encouraged having found this site and having seen some pictures of community activities, but given the spread out nature of the community and the fact that we've not found any central community facilities nor seen many people walking, I am wondering.

We're pretty active in YL.  I run 4 miles three days a week, my wife walks/jogs with our dog every day.  But there are street lights (I'm on the road around 5) and I'm concerned, particularly for her with the dog, in that there are no sidewalks and I assume there are critters just off the road where she would be walking.  Should I be?

While we like the quiet, not-on-top-of-your-neighbor nature of the lots, we don't want to end up isolated hermits watching sun sets from our hill top.

If there is much more to do than we know, can you point me to it?  Is DeLuz for us?

If not, for those of you who live there, it is a beautiful place and we've enjoyed our visits.

Lots to do...
We have De Luz Walkers, Yacht Club Races, Community Picnics, parties, Poker Nights and just watching things grow. We are about 30 minutes from Temecula and 20 minutes from Fallbrook.

Just a matter of getting out and meeting your neighbors... If you drive down for a day, stop in Vicki's Big Yellow Sand on De Luz Road near Daily Road. She is open weekends 8 AM - 4 PM on weekends. Say and talk to folks. Drive along Daily toward Ross Lake around 3 PM on Saturday and you'll see the sail boats, stop in and say hi....
