Follow up from yesterday's crime prevention meeting

My fellow Deputies,

I wanted to let you know that I emailed you an invite to join De Luz Community of FB. If you don't want to be on DLC, then  just decline. There were 3 people who didn't provide an email addy. You know who you are. If you want me to include you on the DLC email then you'll need to give me your email address.

I'm pretty sure you don't need FB to see the emails from everyone. I don't know if you'll be able to post though if you're not on…

Quick update on 1on1 communications

I'm consistently getting 4-5 mpbs upload and download speeds. For the 1st time in 10 years, I can now do all of my online presentations from my home. Next step is getting rid of home phone and doing something with Vonage or cell. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

Saving money with 1on1 communications

All,

If you pay for high speed now through Hughes or Wildblue, you could save money by going to 1on1.

I currently pay and .

79 a month with wildblue (this could be $50 month and you still save money)

$50 for my home phone

Current monthly expense $129

With 1on1 my monthly expense will drop to

1on1 $69

Vonage is $14

New monthly expenses $83

I'll be saving almost $50 a month or $600 a year.

If I…

Wake up my fellow De Luzians! real high speed is here

De Luzians (Heights and Canyon),

We now have our first foot print and first customer connected to www.1on1communications.com with phenomenal upload/download results. And, they are looking to begin rolling out the service to the rest of De Luz (Heights and Canyon)  so if you haven't registered on 1on1's web site, you need to so that Dustin knows if you are in the current coverage area. If you're not don't worry because the…

High Speed Update from Dustin

All,

Dustin has completed the testing process at Vaughn's house and is ready to begin rolling out service to the rest of De Luz. He has requested that he'll need someone about 200 meters west of Vaughn's house to install a radio so he can broadcast the high speed signal down to the lake and the rest of the heights. I'm sure he'll need some other high points in the Heights so we can get great coverage for everyone.

He also said that he would be willing to meet…

Hugh Speed Update

All,

A quick update. Dustin says that he will start rolling out service early next week. If you haven't registered on line for him to contact you might want to do that.

If you live up high on one of the surrounding hills you may want to contact him. The higher we can setup the access points the better the coverage will be for all of us.

Btw, the up/download speeds he is getting is 12 mps, which is awesome.

update on high speed

All,

I stopped by Vaughan's house on the way home to see what's up with the high speed. Vaughan happened to be home and he let me see what Dustin has setup so far. I checked his high speed on Dustin's system and it was smoking. I don't know if we'll get that but even if we get 1/2 that speed it would still be 10 times faster than Wildblue.

Update on Internet with 1 on 1 (Dustin)

All,

Dustin just sent me an email updating me on the status of where we are with High Speed for DL. He had a little setback with a piece of equipment that he was planning on installing here so he needs to send it back to the manufacturer and get a new one later this week. He should be able to install the new device later this week and bring up service the following over the weekend or the following week.

I have met a lot of you over the last couple of weeks…

Update in high Speed

Fellow sailors and De  Luzians,

Dustin from 1 on 1 communications will be at the season ending regatta tomorrow to answer any questions you may have regarding his service. At this point, he is completing final installation today and will begin testing signal strengths around the area. He is very optimistic that at a minimum we'll have 2.0mbps (wildblue and Hughs deliver about 1.2 mbs download and 40k upload) so this will be a huge improvement. In addition you'll be able to…

High Speed Meeting at De Luz VFD this coming Tuesday at 2pm.

All,

I'm meeting with a guy that brought high speed to Rainbow. He guarantees 2Meg upload/download. The cost is a one time installation of $100 and $69 a month no cap on the amount of data you download.

Here is the rub. In order for this to work he is going to need to access to high points in our community.

Please let me know if you're interested.

Thanks

High Speed

To my fellow DeLuzians,

please let me know if anyone is interested in meeting to discuss how we can go about getting high speed into our community. I have a bunch of ideas but could surely use some help in getting things off the ground.

Thanks,

Update from dog being hit

My fellow De Luzians,

I wanted to update you on what is going on with Chula and Jami Koch (the person who hit Chula and Blue Belle but she wasn't hurt). Anyway, Chula is at the Vet today and they did some x-ray's on her hind leg. Even though she was putting any weight on her back leg, the only problem they found was a broken toe. It was a pretty nasty broken toe from what the doc said it split. I haven't seen the film yet he was going to show that to me when I pick her up…

Hit by Car on Daily Rd.

Good morning fellow Deluzians,

I need your help. If you don't know me I'm the one who runs on Daily Rd with the 3 dogs. Well this past Monday around 5pm I was running with my dogs near Loy and Daily and my dogs were hit by a blue Range Rover. The person just missed hitting me, thank God.  As you can imagine I was really shaken up and so were my dogs. Chula my german shepherd is still  not putting any weight on her back foot so I'm going to bring her to the vet…
