"DeLuzNews We All Can Use"

Fellow sailors and De  Luzians,

Dustin from 1 on 1 communications will be at the season ending regatta tomorrow to answer any questions you may have regarding his service. At this point, he is completing final installation today and will begin testing signal strengths around the area. He is very optimistic that at a minimum we'll have 2.0mbps (wildblue and Hughs deliver about 1.2 mbs download and 40k upload) so this will be a huge improvement. In addition you'll be able to stream, download movies, netflix etc. You can even look into Magic Jack or Vonage (VOIP).  Again the cost will be $69 month, 6 mo contract, and one time $100 installation fee.

On another note, I have a friend that installs cell towers for ATT. He is looking to get cell service out here. He needs to know the area of De Luz and how many people live out here. Would Mike Manchor or Cal Fire have this information?

PS: Don't worry about the satellite map on Dustin's coverage. That was just the initial implementation.

Looking forward to talking with Dustin...

Note, I'm now getting 3+ megs download with WildBlue..  However, regardless 3.0, 2.0 and even 1.0 megs download is fine for most people!  The primary problem with WildBlue and Hughes is the upload speed which always runs around 100 kbps.  And the major problem with both is there Fair Sharing Practice, top line service 17 gigs download and 5 gigs upload over rolling 30 days.

And as I said, Dustin needs to return phone calls.

Forget the ATT cell service... Already been through their governmental affairs with no luck!!!  Besides it will not stand up to what 1on1 is talking about providing.
