Update from dog being hit

My fellow De Luzians,

 

I wanted to update you on what is going on with Chula and Jami Koch (the person who hit Chula and Blue Belle but she wasn't hurt). Anyway, Chula is at the Vet today and they did some x-ray's on her hind leg. Even though she was putting any weight on her back leg, the only problem they found was a broken toe. It was a pretty nasty broken toe from what the doc said it split. I haven't seen the film yet he was going to show that to me when I pick her up later today. Thankfully, we escaped any serious damage on both dogs. 

 

Again, I wanted to thank all of you who reached out to me with your sympathies and concerns and to those who helped with locating Jami. You should all feel really good about yourselves because most communities wouldn't care. But, here in De Luz, we're a community that cares about one another and we reach out to help one another when needed.

 

I know  De Luz is the best place to live anywhere and moments like this reinforces that.

 

Now, hopefully, Jami will step up and do the right thing and pay Chula's Vet bill, which is going be about $150-$175. If she does that maybe she can  get some Karma juice back in her Karma cup.

 

PS: Please everyone slow down a little a bit on Daily. I know we're extremely busy but I could've had my kids on the run with me instead of the dogs. And,  I notice that there are a lot more people exercising on Daily so let's be more aware when we're driving.

Hello All,

 

Update. The good news is that Chula is doing well. She has a broken toe so she has a cast on her foot and the cone of shame so she doesn't chew at it. She will have to wear it for the next two weeks but should be good as new.

 

The bad news is that I have left messages at Jami's house and on her phone and haven't heard back.

 

I  will keep you all posted if anything changes. .
