All,
A quick update. Dustin says that he will start rolling out service early next week. If you haven't registered on line for him to contact you might want to do that.
If you live up high on one of the surrounding hills you may want to contact him. The higher we can setup the access points the better the coverage will be for all of us.
Btw, the up/download speeds he is getting is 12 mps, which is awesome.
All,
I stopped by Vaughan's house on the way home to see what's up with the high speed. Vaughan happened to be home and he let me see what Dustin has setup so far. I checked his high speed on Dustin's system and it was smoking. I don't know if we'll get that but even if we get 1/2 that speed it would still be 10 times faster than Wildblue.

All,
Dustin just sent me an email updating me on the status of where we are with High Speed for DL. He had a little setback with a piece of equipment that he was planning on installing here so he needs to send it back to the manufacturer and get a new one later this week. He should be able to install the new device later this week and bring up service the following over the weekend or the following week.
I have met a lot of you over the last couple of weeks…

Fellow De Luz Country(wo)men,
I have created a Facebook page called De Luz Community. We will use this as a voice to get things done in our community. Things like high speed, Cell coverage, anything else we want to get done as a community. Please feel free to sign up. The more people we get involved the community the louder our voice can be to help us get things done.

Fellow sailors and De Luzians,
Dustin from 1 on 1 communications will be at the season ending regatta tomorrow to answer any questions you may have regarding his service. At this point, he is completing final installation today and will begin testing signal strengths around the area. He is very optimistic that at a minimum we'll have 2.0mbps (wildblue and Hughs deliver about 1.2 mbs download and 40k upload) so this will be a huge improvement. In addition you'll be able to…
ContinueHowdy Everyone!
TJ Lynas and I missed each other on Tuesday by about a half an hour - but it turned out for the better with the rain and fog limiting visibility a great deal. We got together on Friday afternoon instead.
TJ and I scouted a location at around 1400 feet elevation that turns out to have an uninhibited line of sight back to several of the multi-radio repeater stations I have deployed in Rainbow. The property owners involved are very excited about the…
